Steel claws + 1 are a pair of upgraded melee claws in RuneScape 3. They are steel claws that have been improved one time. You need level 20 Attack to wield them. They are free to play, so any account can use them.
These claws use the slash attack style and hit at the fastest attack speed. They have 202 damage and 329 accuracy. This makes them a solid weapon for low level combat training. They are also very light at only 0.01 kg, so they add almost no weight to your gear.
Players make these claws at an anvil or forge. You need level 20 Smithing, a hammer, at least 2 steel bars, and a pair of steel claws. Making them gives 150 Smithing experience. The item is tradeable, so you can buy or sell it with other players.
Steel claws + 1 also work with the Invention skill. You can disassemble them for 16 materials. They often give connector parts, blade parts, and spiked parts. On rare tries they give sharp components or swift components. They can also be alched for 400 coins with High Alchemy.
