Description

The steel spear is a two-handed melee weapon in RuneScape 3. It is a members item that needs 20 Attack to wield. It is a tier 20 spear that uses the stab attack style, with 316 accuracy and a range of 1. It gives no armour, life points, or prayer bonuses.

This spear plays a key role in the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest. Players can add poison karambwan paste to it to make the steel spear (kp), which Tamayu uses to fight The Shaikahan. After the quest, poisoned spears can be bought at Tamayu's Spear Stall and cleaned with a cleaning cloth to get a normal steel spear back.

The steel spear can only be smithed on a Barbarian anvil. This needs one steel bar and one willow log, plus completion of Tai Bwo Wannai Trio and the Smithing part of Barbarian Training. It also drops from monsters like hobgoblins, earth warriors, and tribesmen.

For Invention players, the spear disassembles into stave parts, blade parts, crafted parts, precise components, and direct components. It weighs 2.267 kg and is a simple, useful pick for low-level melee training or quest needs.
