Description

Swamp weed is a members-only plant in RuneScape 3. It is a hardy green plant that grows in the caves under Lumbridge. Players use it to make soda ash by cooking it on a range. It also works in the Superglass Make spell to produce molten glass, so it is handy for players who train Crafting or Magic.

There are two ways to get swamp weed. It drops from cave bugs and molanisks, which are Slayer monsters found in the Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon. Players can also catch it with a small fishing net at frog spawn fishing spots in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves or the Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon. Catching it needs level 33 Fishing and gives 1 Fishing experience.

Swamp weed can be disassembled under the Food and herbs category. It mostly gives Organic parts, with smaller chances of Crafted parts, Enhancing components, Healthy components, and Living components.

The cave goblins of Dorgeshuun cook with swamp weed often, since few green plants grow near Dorgesh-Kaan. It is even wrapped around eels to make eel sushi. The item weighs 0.2 kg and is tradeable and noteable, but it cannot be equipped or stacked.
