Description

Molten glass is a members-only material in RuneScape 3. It is used in the Crafting and Construction skills. Players make it at a furnace with a bucket of sand and soda ash, which gives 20 Crafting experience. The Lunar spell Superglass Make turns sand and seaweed or soda ash into 30% more molten glass in one cast.

With a glassblowing pipe, molten glass can be blown into many items. These include beer glasses, vials, oil lamps, fishbowls, unpowered orbs, lantern lenses, and light orbs. In Construction, it is used to build dressers, telescopes, decorative windows, stained glass, and shaving stands.

Molten glass is also useful for Invention. Turning it into empty light orbs and then disassembling them is a good source of clear parts and other materials. The glass itself can be disassembled into clear parts, delicate parts, smooth parts, and enhancing components.

This item is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to store and move in bulk. Buying molten glass saves time on gathering sand and soda ash, so players can train Crafting faster. Strange rocks for Crafting may also appear while working with it.
