Description
The sweetcorn seed is a members-only Farming seed in RuneScape 3. Players plant it in an allotment patch to grow sweetcorn. It needs level 20 Farming to use. Each patch takes 3 seeds, and the crop grows in about 60 minutes.
Planting a sweetcorn seed gives 17 Farming experience. Each harvest gives 19 more. Every patch starts with 3 harvest lives, and using compost adds more. Ultracompost raises the total to 6 lives. Higher Farming levels also give a chance to keep a harvest life when picking sweetcorn, so skilled farmers get more crops per seed.
A nearby gardener will protect the growing sweetcorn for a payment of 10 jute fibres. A scarecrow, white lily, or starbloom flower in a nearby flower patch works too, so the crop stays safe from disease.
The seed is tradeable and stackable, so it takes up little space. It can also be disassembled for Invention, giving mostly organic parts. Sweetcorn seeds are a solid pick for players training Farming past level 20 who want steady experience and useful food from their allotment patches.
