Description

The Thatch spar (medium) is a wooden pole in RuneScape 3. It is used in primitive building work. Players get this item by hacking medium jungle with a machete during the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame. Hacking the jungle also earns favour in the village.

This spar has two main uses. Players can use it with a machete to repair and reinforce the fences around Tai Bwo Wannai village. Players can also cut it into skewer sticks with a machete. A skewer stick can be used with a spider carcass to cook a spider on stick.

The Thatch spar (medium) is a members only item. It is tradeable, noteable, and stackable, and it weighs 0.1 kg. It can also be disassembled under the Clothing category for 0.3 disassembly XP. Possible materials include Cover parts, Simple parts, Padded parts, and Variable components, with a base junk chance of 98.9 percent.

The item was added to the game on 9 August 2005. It was renamed from Thatch spar med to Thatch spar (medium) on 9 September 2019. It is one of three thatch spar types, along with light and dense.
