In Summoning, the spider carcass is the tertiary ingredient for the spirit spider pouch. Infusing this pouch needs level 10 Summoning. This makes the carcass useful for players who are just starting the skill.
In Cooking, the carcass can be turned into food at level 16 Cooking. Attach it to a skewer stick to cook a spider on stick. Skewer sticks come from cutting thatching spars with a machete, and the sticks can be used again. The carcass can also be attached to an arrow shaft to cook a spider on shaft. The shaft is destroyed when the spider is eaten. Both foods heal life points, so they are handy snacks for low level players.
