The tooth half of a key is one half of a crystal key in RuneScape 3. When you join it with a loop half of a key, you make a crystal key. Making the key gives you 10 Crafting experience, and you do not need any skill levels to do it.
The crystal key opens the crystal chest in Taverley. There is also a version of the chest in Prifddinas. The chest always gives an uncut dragonstone. It can also give other items, such as coins, runes, and rune bars.
The tooth half is a rare drop from any monster that drops gems. It can also come from the barrows chest, the chest in Taverley, and evil tree rewards. It is a reward from the Gnome Restaurant minigame, and it can be looted from magpie implings and fire spirits. Many players see the tooth half as rarer than the loop half.
The item is tradeable, but it cannot be worn and does not stack. It weighs only 0.005 kg, so it is easy to carry. Using the assemble option will join all key halves in your inventory at once. Its examine text is "A very shiny key."
