Description
The unicorn horn is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It is dropped by unicorns and black unicorns, which always drop one horn. Unicows drop two to four horns each. The horn is tradeable, noteable, and very light at 0.007 kg.
Unicorn horns are useful for training Herblore. Grinding a horn with a pestle and mortar gives 1 Herblore experience and makes unicorn horn dust. This dust is used to make antipoison, super antipoison, and Sanfew serum potions. Players with level 85 Magic can also use the Telekinetic Grind spell to grind 28 horns at once for extra Magic and Herblore experience.
Unicorn horns also matter for Summoning. They are the tertiary ingredient for unicorn stallion pouches at level 88 Summoning. The unicorn stallion is a popular healing familiar, so these horns stay in demand.
Players want unicorn horns because farming them takes time. Killing unicorns near the Fremennik Province or making unicows through Creature Creation can be slow. Buying horns lets players skip the grind and get straight to making potions or infusing pouches. This is a solid pick for anyone training Herblore or Summoning in RS3.
