This staff is a tier 30 Magic weapon for the main hand. It has 454 accuracy, a spell-casting style, and a range of 8. It has a higher attack bonus than the staff of water, so it hits better in combat.
The water battlestaff can grow with you. Thormac can upgrade it to a mystic water staff after the Scorpion Catcher quest. With level 85 Crafting, you can attach a shade skull to make a shade battlestaff of water. You can also change it into an air, earth, or fire battlestaff with an elemental sphere or crystal of power. This is very handy for Ironman players who can craft one type but not the others.
This is a solid pick for mid-level mages who want free water runes and a stronger staff for training Magic or fighting monsters.
