The willow stock is a Fletching item in RuneScape 3. It is the wooden part used to make an iron crossbow. Players cut a willow stock from one willow log with a knife. This needs level 39 Fletching and gives 22 experience.
To make a crossbow, attach the willow stock to iron crossbow limbs. This also needs level 39 Fletching and gives 44 experience. The result is an unstrung iron crossbow. This makes willow stocks a solid pick for training Fletching at mid levels.
The willow stock is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to buy, sell, and move in bulk. It cannot be worn and does not stack in the inventory. Each one weighs 3 kg.
Willow stocks can also be taken apart with the Invention skill. Disassembly gives 5.7 experience and two materials per stock. Possible materials include connector parts, tensile parts, spiked parts, stunning components, and dextrous components. The base junk chance is 79.1 percent.
