Description
The Wimpy feather is an item in RuneScape 3. It comes from wimpy birds, which live in Oo'glog during and after the As a First Resort quest. Catching these birds needs level 39 Hunter with a bird snare, and you must hold smouldering tansymum to lure them.
Wimpy feathers have two main uses. First, they can fletch arrows for the Fletching skill. Unlike other coloured feathers, they cannot be used to make feather headdresses. Second, they help make Fletching potions. Mix one with a clean wergali herb and a vial of water at level 58 Herblore to get a potion and 132 experience.
These feathers are easy to store and trade. They stack in your bank, they are tradeable, and they weigh nothing. You can also disassemble them for Invention. Most of the time this gives Simple parts, and once in a while it gives Variable components.
The item examine text says "More fluff than feather." If you train Herblore or Fletching in RS3, wimpy feathers are a handy item to keep on hand for potions and arrows.
