Description
Wool is a basic crafting item in RuneScape 3. Players gather it by using shears on sheep with full coats. Sheep can be found in many spots, like Fred the Farmer's farm in Lumbridge, near the Edgeville lodestone, and Lletya. You can also get wool from white sheep at the player-owned farm. A single wool spawn sits at Eastfold Farm in Havenhythe.
The main use for wool is spinning. Take it to a spinning wheel to make a ball of wool and earn 2.5 Crafting experience each time. Twenty balls of wool are needed for the Sheep Shearer miniquest with Fred the Farmer. Wool is also used in Construction to make a cushioned basket. You can even give wool to a pet cat to play with, but the cat will not give it back.
Wool is a free-to-play item, so any player can use it. It is tradeable and weighs only 0.003 kg. It is not stackable and cannot be worn. Wool is a smart pick for players who want to train Crafting or finish the Sheep Shearer miniquest fast.
