Description
The Wyrm spike is a rare drop from Lava strykewyrms in RuneScape 3. These level 115 monsters live in the Wilderness. The spike is a members-only item and it is tradeable.
The Wyrm spike has one big job. Attach it to an abyssal whip, a whip vine, or an abyssal vine whip to make the lava whip. An abyssal whip or whip vine gives the lava whip 20% charges. An abyssal vine whip gives it 40% charges. You can undo the creation, but you only get the Wyrm spike back.
The lava whip degrades as you fight. After 10 hours of combat, it uses up the whip and leaves you with the Wyrm spike. You can recharge the lava whip with more abyssal whips, whip vines, or abyssal vine whips.
The Wyrm spike is noteable and can be disassembled. It most often gives Simple parts, with a small chance of Variable components. It has a high alchemy value of 72,000 coins and a Grand Exchange buy limit of 10. Players who want the lava whip for melee combat or Slayer need this item.
