Description
Rune arrows are strong ammo in Old School RuneScape. They are stronger than adamant arrows and give a ranged attack bonus of +49. They stack in your inventory, so you can carry thousands in one slot. You can fire them from any bow made of yew or better.
Rune arrows work well with a Magic shortbow (i). This combo is a powerful weapon for Ironmen who do not have a Toxic blowpipe yet. Like most arrows, they can also be poisoned for extra damage.
Making rune arrows takes work. You need level 75 Fletching to attach 15 rune arrowtips to 15 headless arrows, which gives 187.5 Fletching experience. The arrowtips come from smithing a rune bar at level 90 Smithing, or from Hickton's Archery Store in Catherby, where they are the most expensive arrow heads sold in a store.
Players can also trade for them in game. The Ranging Guild gives 50 rune arrows for 2,000 archery tickets. Justine's shop in Ferox Enclave gives 300 for 3 Last Man Standing points. Buying rune arrows saves time so you can keep training Ranged or fighting bosses.
