Description

The black warlock is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a black warlock butterfly caught in a butterfly jar. Catching one needs level 45 Hunter with a butterfly net or magic butterfly net, or level 55 Hunter with bare hands. Each catch gives 54 Hunter experience. These butterflies live in the southern and middle parts of the Feldip Hunter area and in the Advanced tier of the Farming Guild.

This item is useful in combat. Right-click "Release" to boost your Strength by 4 plus 15% of your Strength level, rounded down. The boost ranges from +4 at low levels up to +18 at levels 94 to 99. In a multi-combat zone, you can use the jar on another player to share the boost. It can reach up to three players in a 5x5 area around the target. Players need Accept Aid turned on to get the boost. The empty jar stays in your inventory after use.

You can also grind the butterfly with a pestle and mortar and mix it with raw hunter meat to make black warlock mix (2). The item weighs 0.02 kg.
