Description

The Bronze crossbow is the weakest metal crossbow in Old School RuneScape. It needs only level 1 Ranged to wield, so any player can use it. It fires bronze bolts and gives a +18 Ranged attack bonus. It has an attack range of 7 squares and weighs 4 kg.

This crossbow has three combat styles. Accurate boosts your hit chance and damage. Rapid makes you shoot faster, cutting your attack speed from 3.6 seconds to 3.0 seconds. Longrange adds 2 squares to your range and also gives Defence experience along with Ranged and Hitpoints experience.

Players can make a Bronze crossbow with level 9 Fletching. First cut a wooden stock from logs, then add bronze limbs with a hammer, and finish it with a crossbow string. Making one from raw parts gives 24 Fletching experience in total.

The Bronze crossbow is a good pick for new Ranged training and for low level accounts. It is not sold in any shop, so buying one is a fast way to start using crossbows right away. It also lets players enter Armadyl's Eyrie, which requires a crossbow to access.
