Description

The Bucket of sand is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is one of the main ingredients for making glass. Players use it with soda ash to make molten glass, which is needed for training Crafting and Construction.

You can make molten glass at a furnace, where one bucket of sand and one soda ash give one molten glass. With the Superglass Make spell, the same items give 1.3 molten glass on average. Using giant seaweed with the spell can push the yield even higher, up to 1.6 glass per bucket of sand with the right setup.

In the game, buckets of sand come from sand pits, the Sandstorm grinder near the Bandit Camp Quarry, and Trader Stan's Trading Post. After The Hand in the Sand quest, Bert can send 84 buckets to your bank each day. With the elite Ardougne Diary done, he does this on his own every day.

The item is tradeable and noteable but not stackable. It weighs 2.5 kg. Buying buckets of sand in bulk saves time, so you can skip the grind and get straight to Crafting.
