Description

Climbing boots are simple boots made for climbing in Old School RuneScape. They are cheap, light, and easy to get, which makes them popular with players at every combat level. Players must finish the Death Plateau quest before they can wear them.

These boots give a +2 Strength bonus with no Defence level needed. They also give +2 slash defence and +2 crush defence, and they have no negative bonuses. This is the same strength bonus as rune boots, which come from Nechryael drops, and mixed hide boots, which need 69 Crafting. Climbing boots are much easier to get than either of those.

Climbing boots play a big role in the troll quest series. Players use them to walk the mountain path to Trollheim in Troll Stronghold and Eadgar's Ruse. They also open a shortcut in Troll Romance and are needed for an elite Treasure Trails clue. Players can bring the boots and an iron bar to the blacksmith in Burthorpe to make spiked boots, which are used in Death Plateau and Desert Treasure I.

Climbing boots are a members only item and weigh very little, so they are easy to carry anywhere.
