The Cup of hot water is a members item in Old School RuneScape. It is a simple item with one main job. Players use it to make the Guthix rest potion.

You can make a cup of hot water in two ways. Use a bowl of hot water on an empty tea cup, or heat a cup of water on a range or fire. The cup cannot be drunk like tea, and it does nothing on its own.

To make Guthix rest, you combine one cup of hot water with two guam leaves, one harralander, and one marrentill. The cup can also be mixed with a single herb to make herb tea mixes. It works with guam leaf, harralander, or marrentill.

The item is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and store. It cannot be equipped and does not stack. It weighs only 0.05 kg, so it adds almost no weight to your inventory. If you want to brew Guthix rest potions without extra steps, a cup of hot water is the key ingredient you need.
