Description
The Dorgeshuun crossbow is a one-handed ranged weapon in Old School RuneScape. It needs level 28 Ranged to equip. Because it is a crossbow, it leaves your shield slot free for extra defence or attack bonuses. It has a ranged attack bonus of +42, the same as an iron crossbow.
This crossbow shoots one tick faster than most other crossbows. It is also the only crossbow that can fire bone bolts, which cost much less than other ammo of similar power. With the faster speed, its damage over time can match a normal crossbow firing steel or even mithril bolts. It can also fire metal bolts up to iron, but not silver bolts.
It weighs only 2.267 kg, making it the lightest crossbow in the game. That makes it a smart pick with the mithril grapple in places like the Hallowed Sepulchre, where saving run energy matters.
Its special attack, Snipe, uses 75% special attack energy. It never misses a fresh target and lowers the target's Defence by the damage dealt. The special attack unlocks after the quest Death to the Dorgeshuun. The crossbow itself can be traded on the Grand Exchange.
