Description
The dragon platebody is the strongest standard platebody in Old School RuneScape. It is a melee armour worn in the body slot. To equip it, you need 60 Defence and you must finish the quest Dragon Slayer I.
This platebody gives some of the best bonuses of any armour that does not degrade. Its stab and slash defence are even higher than the Bandos chestplate. It gives +109 stab, +107 slash, +97 crush, and +106 ranged defence. It is a direct upgrade to the dragon chainbody in every stat except crush, where the chainbody has +1 more. It has no strength bonus, so many players pick other gear for melee training.
Players with 90 Smithing who have finished Dragon Slayer II can make one at the Dragon Forge. It takes a dragon chainbody, a dragon metal lump, and a dragon metal shard, and gives 2,000 Smithing experience.
A dragon platebody ornament kit from master clue scrolls can be added to make a gold-trimmed version. This is only a look change and does not change the stats. The platebody is part of the dragon armour set and weighs 11.339 kg.
