Description
The empty cup is a simple item in Old School RuneScape. It holds drinks like tea and Guthix rest. Players use it to make a cup of hot water, a cup of water, and many kinds of tea, such as nettle tea and damiana tea. It can also be filled with tea from a tea flask or a bowl of tea.
After the One Small Favour quest, players can turn an empty cup into a Guthix rest potion. This is done by adding a bowl of hot water, then a harralander, a marrentill, and two guam leaves. Guthix rest is a helpful drink for many players.
Empty cups can be made with the Crafting skill. Firing an unfired cup in a pottery oven needs level 1 Crafting and gives 8.5 XP. The empty cup is also the only item other than a bucket that can be filled from a well.
The empty cup weighs 0.05 kg and has item ID 1980. It was released on 29 March 2004. It is a small item, but it is key for making teas and potions in the game.
