Description
The Heavy frame is a rare item in Old School RuneScape. It drops from demonic gorillas and tortured gorillas. These monsters live in the Crash Site Cavern. You can fight them after you finish the Monkey Madness II quest.
The main use of the Heavy frame is to make a heavy ballista. To do this, you attach the frame to ballista limbs. This makes an incomplete heavy ballista. You need level 72 Fletching for this step, and it gives 30 Fletching experience.
Getting a Heavy frame as a drop takes time. Demonic gorillas drop it at a rate of 1 in 1,500. Tortured gorillas drop it at a much rarer rate of 1 in 15,000. Buying one skips the long grind.
The Heavy frame is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and store. It cannot be worn and it does not stack. It weighs 5.25 kg. If you want to build a heavy ballista in OSRS, this frame is one of the key parts you need.
