Description

The OSRS Iron knife is a throwing knife that any player can use. It does not need a Ranged level to wield. It is stronger than a bronze knife but weaker than a steel knife.

Knives are among the fastest weapons in Old School RuneScape, matching the speed of darts. On the Rapid style, an iron knife fires every 1.2 seconds. This fast fire rate makes iron knives a popular pick for training early Ranged levels and for PKing.

The iron knife gives a +5 Ranged attack bonus. It is a one-handed weapon, so it can be used with a shield or a god book for extra protection. It can also be poisoned for more damage.

Iron knives are stackable, so a full stack fits in one inventory slot. They are tradeable and weigh nothing. This is a members-only item.

Players with 22 Smithing can make iron knives, and each iron bar makes 5 knives with 25 Smithing experience. They can also be bought from Martin Thwait's Lost and Found shop in the Rogues' Den. Buying a stack of iron knives is a simple way to gear up fast.
