Description
Karil's coif is a ranged helmet from Old School RuneScape. It is part of Karil the Tainted's Barrows set. To wear it, a player needs 70 Defence and 70 Ranged.
The coif gives a +7 Ranged attack bonus. It also has strong defence stats for a helmet, with +6 Stab, +9 Slash, +12 Crush, +6 Magic, and +10 Ranged defence. This makes it a solid choice for ranged combat.
When worn with the full Karil's set and Karil's crossbow, attacks on other players have a 25% chance to lower their Agility level by 20%. Adding an amulet of the damned gives a 25% chance for each attack to hit a second time for half the damage.
Like all Barrows gear, the coif degrades with use. A fully repaired coif lasts 15 hours of combat. Its stats do not drop as it wears down. When it reaches 0, it must be repaired before it can be used again. NPCs like Bob in Lumbridge can fix it for 60,000 coins, or players can use an armour stand in their house to pay less based on their Smithing level.
