Description
Krandorian hops are a members-only farming item in Old School RuneScape. Players grow them from Krandorian seeds in a hops patch, which needs level 21 Farming. Each harvest gives one hop. Farmers will watch the patch for you if you pay them 3 sacks of cabbages.
The main use for Krandorian hops is brewing dragon bitter. This takes level 39 Cooking and gives 347 XP per brew. One batch needs 4 Krandorian hops, 2 buckets of water, 2 barley malt, and 1 ale yeast. You can brew it into 8 beer glasses or 2 calquat kegs. Mature versions of dragon bitter use the same recipe. You can also add the hops to a compost bin to make regular compost.
Krandorian hops are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to move and sell. They cannot be equipped or stacked, and each hop weighs 0.028 kg. Outside of trading, the only way to get them is by farming, since no monsters or shops give the hops themselves.
The name is a nod to the island of Crandor from the Dragon Slayer quest, which was destroyed by the dragon Elvarg.
