Description
The lava rune is a combination rune in Old School RuneScape. It counts as two runes at once: one fire rune and one earth rune. Any spell that needs a fire rune, an earth rune, or both will use just one lava rune. This saves space in your inventory and makes casting simpler.
Lava runes work with spells like Lvl-6 Enchant, Shadow Veil, Battlefront Teleport, and Civitas illa Fortis Teleport. They are stackable and tradeable, and they weigh nothing. You also need lava runes for the Swan Song quest, and 100 of them to build a Volcanic habitat in your Player Owned House Menagerie.
Players can craft lava runes with level 23 Runecraft. Bring pure essence, fire runes, and a fire talisman to the Earth Altar, or bring pure essence, earth runes, and an earth talisman to the Fire Altar. Crafting has a 50% success rate, but a binding necklace raises it to 100%. Crafting lava runes at the Fire Altar is also a medium task in the Lumbridge and Draynor Diary.
