Description
The magic seed is a high level tree seed in Old School RuneScape. You need level 75 Farming to use it. Plant the seed in a plant pot with a gardening trowel, then water it to grow a magic sapling. Plant the sapling in a tree patch. One seed fills one patch.
The tree takes about 8 hours to fully grow. Planting gives 145.5 Farming experience. Checking the grown tree gives a big reward of 13,768.3 Farming experience. This makes magic seeds a top choice for training Farming at high levels.
You can cut the grown tree for magic logs and Woodcutting experience. The tree regrows after 2 minutes, so you can keep cutting it. If you dig up the roots after cutting, you get magic roots. Higher Farming levels give more roots, up to four at level 99.
You can pay the farmer 25 coconuts to protect the tree from disease while it grows. Paying to protect a magic tree is an elite task in the Western Provinces Diary. Getting at least 3 magic roots at once in Falador is an elite task in the Falador Diary.
