Description

Mahogany pyre logs are a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. Players use them in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame to cremate the remains of Loar, Phrin, and Riyl shades. Lighting them requires level 55 Firemaking.

Each cremation grants 210 Firemaking experience and 34.5 Prayer experience. Players who have completed the Morytania Diary 4 get 315 Firemaking experience instead. This makes the logs a solid pick for training both skills at once.

To use them, place the pyre logs and a set of shade remains on a funeral pyre near the centre of Mort'ton. Light the pyre with a tinderbox to release the shade. A stack of coins or a key then appears. The type of key depends on which shade remains were burned, and higher level shades give higher level keys.

These logs are normally made by applying three doses of sacred olive oil to mahogany logs. Buying them ready to use skips that step, so players can go straight to burning shades for experience and keys. The item is tradeable and noteable, but it does not stack.
