Buy OSRS Moonlight moth (item)

Description

The moonlight moth is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a moth kept in a butterfly jar. When you release it, it restores 22 Prayer points. This makes it a handy way to keep your prayers going during long fights or trips.

In a multi-combat zone, you can use the moth on another player to share the effect. Up to three more players in a 5x5 area around the target can also get the boost, as long as they have Accept Aid turned on. After you use the moth, the empty butterfly jar stays in your inventory. Note that the holy wrench does not boost this item, and Group Ironmen cannot share the moth itself.

You can also combine a moonlight moth with raw hunter meat using a pestle and mortar. This makes a moonlight moth mix (2), which Group Ironmen can share.

Catching these moths yourself takes level 75 Hunter with a butterfly net and jar, or level 85 Hunter to catch them barehanded. Buying them saves you the time and skill grind. The Grand Exchange buy limit is 125 every 4 hours.
