Description

The oak longbow is a ranged weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is a sturdy bow made from oak. You need level 5 Ranged to wield it, so it works well for low level players who want to train Ranged early.

This bow can fire arrows up to and including steel arrows. It gives a +14 Ranged attack bonus. It has the same stats as the oak shortbow but fires at a slower speed. The longrange combat style adds one extra tile of attack range and grants a Defence experience boost, while the accurate style boosts Ranged experience.

Players with level 25 Fletching can make this bow. Use a knife on oak logs to cut an unstrung bow for 25 experience, then add a bowstring for another 25 experience. This makes the oak longbow a common item for Fletching training too.

The oak longbow weighs 2.267 kg. It also drops from skeletons in Tarn's Lair and can appear in beginner reward caskets. During the Ghosts Ahoy quest, players may get a signed oak bow, which is the same item with a different name.
