Description

Oak logs are a common resource in Old School RuneScape. Players cut them from oak trees at level 15 Woodcutting, and each log gives 37.5 experience. Oak trees respawn in about 8.4 seconds, so there is little waiting between chops. Fast choppers can gather 500 to 1100 logs per hour.

Oak logs are great for training skills. Burning one gives 60 Firemaking experience at level 15. Members can turn oak logs into oak planks at a sawmill for 250 coins each, or use the Lunar spell Plank Make. Oak planks are a key part of Construction training. Members can also fletch the logs into arrow shafts, oak shortbows, oak longbows, and oak shields.

These logs have other uses too. Six oak logs can light an Abyssal lantern. They can also be used to build oak bird houses, make iron spears and iron hastas, and travel to the Crafting Guild on the Balloon Transport System. Cutting oak trees is also a quick way to find bird nests.

Oak logs are tradeable and noteable, and each one weighs 2 kg. With so many uses across Woodcutting, Firemaking, Fletching, and Construction, oak logs are a smart pickup for any account.
