Description

The Obsidian platebody is a strong chest armour in Old School RuneScape. It is part of the obsidian armour set. You need level 60 Defence to wear it.

This platebody gives good melee defence. It has +55 stab, +78 slash, +56 crush, and +60 ranged defence. It also gives a +3 strength bonus. The magic bonus is -15.

The real power comes from the full set. Wear the platebody with the obsidian helmet and obsidian platelegs, and all obsidian weapons get a 10% boost to melee accuracy and melee strength. This damage boost also stacks with the berserker necklace.

Many players pick this platebody instead of the fighter torso. It has one less strength bonus and weaker defence stats, but you do not need to play Barbarian Assault to get it. In the game, it can be bought at TzHaar-Hur-Zal's Equipment Store for 126,000 Tokkul, or 109,200 with Karamja gloves. It is also a rare drop from level 221 TzHaar-Ket.

You can store it in the armour case of a costume room as part of the obsidian armour set. Ultimate Ironmen must store the full set before taking out single pieces.
