Description
The Onyx amulet is a members item in Old School RuneScape. Players make it by using an onyx and a gold bar on a furnace with an amulet mould in the inventory. This needs level 90 Crafting and gives 165 Crafting experience. The unstrung amulet must then be strung with a ball of wool, or with the String Jewellery spell from the Lunar spellbook. Stringing gives 4 more Crafting experience.
The main reason players want this amulet is what it becomes. It can be enchanted into an amulet of fury, one of the best amulets in the game. The Lvl-6 Enchant spell needs level 87 Magic and gives 97 Magic experience. An enchant onyx tablet made at a lectern in a player-owned house also works.
On its own, the Onyx amulet has no combat stat bonuses. It is tradeable and can be noted. Before the Monkey Madness II update, it had the highest Crafting requirement in the game. That spot now belongs to the zenyte amulet at level 98. For players training Crafting or Magic, or aiming for a fury, the Onyx amulet is a key step.
