Description

The opal amulet is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a strung amulet made from an opal and silver. Players can wear it, trade it, and note it. It does not give any combat bonuses on its own.

The main reason players want this amulet is to enchant it. With level 7 Magic, the Lvl-1 Enchant spell turns it into an amulet of bounty. The spell uses one cosmic rune and one water rune and gives 17.5 Magic experience.

Players can also make the amulet themselves. First, an unstrung opal amulet is made at a furnace with a silver bar, a cut opal, and an amulet mould. This needs level 27 Crafting and gives 55 Crafting experience. Then a ball of wool is used to string it, which needs level 1 Crafting and gives 4 Crafting experience. The String Jewellery spell can also string it. That spell needs level 80 Magic and the Lunar Diplomacy quest, and it gives 83 Magic experience plus 4 Crafting experience.
