Description
The silver bar is a metal bar in Old School RuneScape. Players make it by smelting silver ore in a furnace. This needs level 20 Smithing and gives 13.7 Smithing experience.
Silver bars are mostly used for the Crafting skill. Use a bar on a furnace with the right mould in your inventory to make jewellery. You can craft tiaras, silver bolts, unstrung symbols, and rings, amulets, necklaces, and bracelets set with opal, jade, or topaz gems. The cut gems must be in your inventory when you craft.
Unlike gold bars, silver bars can be made into a weapon called the silver sickle. You can also grind a bar into silver dust at the Ectofuntus grinder. This dust is an ingredient in the guthix balance potion.
Silver bars are needed in quests too. One bar is used in Creature of Fenkenstrain and another in Shadow of the Storm.
The silver bar is tradeable and noteable but not stackable. It weighs 1.814 kg. It is a handy item for players who want to train Crafting or stock up on supplies for quests and potions.
