Description

Opal bolt tips are a members-only Fletching item in Old School RuneScape. Players use them to make opal bolts and opal dragon bolts. The tips are tradeable, stackable, and weigh nothing, so they are easy to keep in your inventory or bank.

With level 11 Fletching, you can attach opal bolt tips to bronze bolts to make opal bolts. This gives 16 Fletching experience per 10 bolts. Opal bolts are stackable crossbow ammo with a ranged attack bonus of +14. With level 84 Fletching, the tips can be added to dragon bolts to make opal dragon bolts.

Both types of bolts can be enchanted. The spell Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Opal) needs level 4 Magic and turns 10 bolts at a time into enchanted opal bolts with a special ability.

Players can also make the tips by using a chisel on a cut opal at level 11 Fletching. This gives 12 tips and 1.5 Fletching experience. The tips also drop from many monsters, such as Rock Crabs, Sand Crabs, Dagannoths, and Vyrewatch. Buying opal bolt tips saves time and helps you train Fletching or stock up on cheap crossbow ammo.
