Description

Purple dye is a small bottle of dye in Old School RuneScape. It is made by mixing blue dye and red dye. Aggie in Draynor Village can make both of those dyes for you. Purple dye is a free-to-play item and weighs almost nothing.

The main use for purple dye is coloring capes. Dyeing a cape purple gives 2.5 Crafting experience. It can also make other items, like a purple balloon at Crafting level 36 and a purple sail at Crafting level 41.

Purple dye matters in several quests. In Land of the Goblins, it is needed to make purple goblin mail. In Song of the Elves, Alrena uses it to make the Ardougne tabbard. In Recipe for Disaster, it dyes orange slices for the goblin generals. In Ghosts Ahoy, it can be used to paint the toy ship, depending on the mast.

Players who want to find it in the game can pick it up near the spirit tree south of East Ardougne, or in the church in Hosidius. It is also sold in Lletya, Prifddinas, and Tal Teklan, though the Lletya shop needs the Mourning's End Part I quest started.
