Description

Raw marlin is a members-only fish in Old School RuneScape. Players catch it from marlin shoals while deep sea trawling. Catching it needs level 91 Fishing. A trawling net gives 265.5 experience per catch, and a fishing rod gives 53.1. Raw marlin can also show up at glistening shoals at level 76 Fishing and vibrant shoals at level 86 Fishing.

Cooking a raw marlin needs level 91 Cooking. A good cook gives a marlin and 225 Cooking experience. A failed cook gives a burnt marlin instead.

Raw marlin has another use too. Cut it with a knife to get fine fish offcuts. There is also a chance to get three marlin scales. The chance goes up with your Cooking level. Marlin scales are a Herblore secondary used to make extended stamina potions. Fine fish offcuts can be used as bait to boost catch yield.

Raw marlin weighs 0.7 kg. It can be traded and noted. On the Grand Exchange, it has a buy limit of 15,000 every 4 hours. It is a solid pick for training Cooking or stocking up on Herblore supplies.
