Description
The Red crab is an item in Old School RuneScape. It is a captured red crab that players catch by crab trapping on the Pandemonium. Catching one needs level 21 Hunter and gives 64 Hunter experience. To catch a crab, a player builds a crab trap over an empty hole and baits it with fish offcuts. Each catch gives one red crab. Red crabs do not fight back, and there are 9 spawns in the Pandemonium.
A red crab can be used in two ways. A player can cut it with a knife to get raw red crab meat. This meat can be cooked into red crab meat at level 21 Cooking. A player can also grind the crab with a pestle and mortar to make crab paste. Crab paste is a Herblore secondary. It is used to make anti-odour salt and super hunter potions.
The red crab weighs 0.6 kg and is tracked on the Grand Exchange. It is a good pick for players who train Hunter, Cooking, or Herblore in OSRS.
