Players make roast bird meat by cooking skewered bird meat on a fire. This needs level 11 Cooking and level 20 Firemaking. Each successful cook gives 62.5 Cooking experience. The meat can burn while cooking, but the burn rate drops as your Cooking level goes up. It stops burning at level 99 Cooking.

The raw bird meat comes from Hunter birds like the crimson swift, golden warbler, copper longtail, cerulean twitch, and tropical wagtail. It can also come from bird houses. You skewer the raw meat with an iron spit, then cook it on a fire. No other tools are needed.

Roast bird meat is a members-only item. It is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and sell. It weighs 0.15 kg. It cannot be stacked or equipped. It is a simple, handy food for early game play and for training your Cooking skill.
