Description

The ruby harvest is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a ruby harvest butterfly held inside a butterfly jar. Players catch these butterflies near the Piscatoris Hunter area, which can be reached with fairy ring code AKQ. Catching one requires level 15 Hunter with a butterfly net or magic butterfly net and gives 24 Hunter experience.

The butterfly can boost a player's Attack level. The boost is 4 plus 15 percent of the Attack level, rounded down. At level 99 Attack, this gives a boost of 18. In a multi-combat zone, the item can be used on another player to share the boost. It can also reach up to three more players in a 5x5 area around the target. Players must have Accept Aid turned on to get the boost. The empty butterfly jar stays in the inventory after use.

With a pestle and mortar, players can mix the butterfly with raw hunter meat to make a ruby harvest mix (2). The ruby harvest is tradeable and noteable, but it does not stack and cannot be worn. It weighs 0.02 kg.
