The ruby ring is a piece of jewellery in Old School RuneScape. Players make it at a furnace with a gold bar, a cut ruby, and a ring mould. Making one needs level 34 Crafting and gives 70 Crafting experience. It is a free-to-play item that can be worn, traded, and noted. It has no combat bonuses and weighs almost nothing.
The ring can be enchanted into a ring of forging. This uses the Lvl-3 Enchant spell, which needs level 49 Magic, one cosmic rune, and five fire runes. Players can also pay Murky Matt at the Grand Exchange 250 coins to enchant it.
Ruby rings can be sold to Grum's Gold Exchange in Port Sarim. The starting price is 1,417 coins when the shop has none in stock. That is more than High Level Alchemy pays for the ring.
The ruby ring is also used for Treasure Trails. An Easy tier clue asks players to do the Spin emote near the Varrock Palace courtyard entrance while holding one. This makes the ring a handy item to keep for clue scrolls or quick Crafting training.
