Description

Sapphire bolts are mithril crossbow bolts tipped with sapphire in Old School RuneScape. They are members-only ammo that is tradeable, stackable, and easy to equip. Each bolt gives a ranged attack bonus of +83 and weighs nothing.

Players with level 7 Magic can enchant these bolts with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Sapphire) spell. The spell works on 10 bolts at a time and uses 1 Water rune, 1 Mind rune, and 1 Cosmic rune. Enchanted sapphire bolts gain the Clear Mind effect. This effect drains Prayer points from the target and gives some back to the attacker. Against monsters, the effect has a 25% chance to trigger. On a boss like Zulrah, a player can restore 3 Prayer points per activation. On TzTok-Jad, it can restore up to 12 points.

Players can also make these bolts with the Fletching skill. Level 56 Fletching is needed to attach sapphire bolt tips to mithril bolts, and each bolt gives 4.7 Fletching experience. Buying sapphire bolts skips the crafting work and keeps your crossbow loaded for training, bossing, or player-versus-player fights.
