Description

Sapphire bolts (e) are mithril crossbow bolts tipped with enchanted sapphire. They carry a special effect called Clear Mind. When it triggers, the effect drains some of your target's Prayer points and gives a share of them to you. This makes the bolts a smart pick for long fights where Prayer points matter.

Against monsters, the effect has a 25% chance to trigger. It drains Prayer points based on the target's Ranged level. Against a high level boss like Zulrah, one activation can restore 3 Prayer points. Against TzTok-Jad, it can restore up to 12. Against other players, the chance is 5%, and the drain is based on your own Ranged level. At 99 Ranged, the target loses 4 Prayer points and you gain 2.

Players who have completed the Hard Kandarin Diary get a 10% boost to the trigger chance. This raises the odds to 27.5% against monsters and 5.5% against players.

These bolts can also be made with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Sapphire) spell. It needs level 7 Magic, plus 1 Water rune, 1 Mind rune, and 1 Cosmic rune. Each cast enchants 10 bolts and gives 17.5 Magic experience.
