Description

Sapphire dragon bolts are crossbow ammo in Old School RuneScape. You need level 64 Ranged to use them, and they only work with a Dragon crossbow or better. Each bolt has a ranged strength bonus of +122. They are members-only, tradeable, and stackable, so they take up just one inventory slot.

These bolts can be enchanted with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Sapphire) spell. This needs level 7 Magic and uses 1 water rune, 1 mind rune, and 1 cosmic rune to enchant 10 bolts at a time. The enchanted version has a special effect called Clear Mind. This effect can drain some of the target's Prayer points and give a portion of them back to you. It has a 25% chance to trigger against monsters and a 5% chance against players. If you have completed the Hard Kandarin Diary, the chance goes up by 10%.

Players can also make these bolts by attaching sapphire bolt tips to dragon bolts at level 84 Fletching. Each bolt made gives 4.7 Fletching experience. These bolts are a strong pick for players who want to steal Prayer points while they fight.
