The unstrung symbol is the first step toward a holy symbol. Add a ball of wool to it to make an unblessed symbol. This gives 4 more Crafting experience. From there, Brother Jered at the Edgeville Monastery can bless the symbol for players with level 31 Prayer or higher. This works in free-to-play too. Players with level 50 Prayer can bless it themselves. A completed Holy book costs 2 Prayer points, and a book of balance costs 7 Prayer points.
