Description

The snowy knight is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a butterfly kept in a jar. Players catch it with a butterfly net and a butterfly jar at level 35 Hunter. At level 45 Hunter, it can be caught with bare hands. These butterflies live in Weiss, the Rellekka Hunter area, outside the Farming Guild, and on Mons Gratia.

Releasing the butterfly from the jar restores 15 hitpoints. In a multi-combat zone, it can be used on another player to heal them and up to three nearby players. Those players must have Accept Aid turned on. The empty jar stays in the inventory after use.

Snowy knights work like potions, not food. They share a short cooldown with potions but do not slow eating or attacking. This means a player can heal 15 hitpoints every 1.8 seconds without losing attacks. That makes them a strong healing choice for some PvP fights and for PvE tasks like bossing or speed-based combat achievements.

Players can also mix the jarred butterfly with raw hunter meat using a pestle and mortar. This makes a snowy knight mix with two doses that heal 8 hitpoints each.
