Description

The Super defence(3) is a members-only potion in Old School RuneScape. It holds 3 doses. Each dose boosts your Defence level by 5 plus 15 percent of your current Defence level, rounded down. The boost drops by 1 point per minute, or every 90 seconds if you use the Preserve prayer. A higher Defence level helps you take less damage in combat.

Players make this potion by adding white berries to a cadantine potion (unf). This needs level 66 Herblore and gives 150 Herblore experience. The potion is tradeable, noteable, and very light at 0.02 kg.

Super defence potions have other uses too. At 70 Herblore, you can add crystal dust to make a divine super defence potion. At 90 Herblore, a super defence(4) can be mixed with super attack, super strength, and a torstol to make a super combat potion. After Barbarian Herblore Training, caviar can turn a 2-dose potion into a super def. mix that also heals 6 Hitpoints.

Making a super defence potion is also needed for the hard Fremennik Diary and an elite clue scroll task from Sherlock.
